THANKFUL!

Tonight, as I am not able to make it to Wednesday evening service, I was reflecting on how awesome our God is.  I wanted to be there to represent Project Christimas JOY, but due to a child's medical appointment and Jon's work schedule, it just was not possible.
UPDATE:  At last count I believe Jon said we had 15 more boys to sponsor for gifts.  How exciting is that!  The Lord is able to meet all needs, no matter how big or how small.
As we approach Thanksgiving here in America, I was extremely blessed when I spoke with some of the children at the orphanage the other day.  It reminded me all that we have to be thankful for, but mostly I am thankful that we have the opportunity to know the Lord and share His love with others.  I wanted to tell them about the boxes coming in the worst way, but the Lord was good in keeping my lips sealed.  I wish we could take them over.  It really hit me when one of the girls talking with Kristina (our daughter from Ukraine) asked her if she and her family would come over and visit for Christmas.  I think back to a year ago when I would have done anything NOT to fly over.  Now, because Jesus has a way of molding us into what He wants for His purposes if we let him, I would give almost anything if I could fly my family over and spend Christmas with the orphans.  Some people might not understand this, but some of you will.
Please keep this project in your prayers.  We need to pray for boxes to be delivered in a timely manner so shipping can take place without too many problems.  Also pray that we might have some high school age volunteers to help with preparing everything for shipping.  My children wanted to take on this project and I pray that some friends will join them in blessing these children.
THANK YOU FOR SPONSORING A PRECIOUS CHILD OF GOD'S IN UKRAINE!!!!!!!!!!

First Day of Project Christmas JOY was wonderful!

Today was the kick off day for this project, and out of the 160 gifts we pray to collect for Ukrainian orphans, we filled half of the demand today!  Praise God, and thank you for all who are joining us in sending some Love to Ukraine.  I will try to post some updates as we go along.  I also will try to add some photo's of the orphanage and some children for you to see.  I can't name them, but it will hopefully bless you and your family as you go shopping.  More updates soon.
Grace and Peace!
